  • Course Objectives:

    Day 1: Nail Health, Care & Manicuring Basics

    Session 1: Introduction to Nail Technology

    • Role of a nail technician

    • Salon hygiene and workstation setup

    • Overview of tools, equipment, and products

    • Client safety and professional standards

     

    Session 2: Nail Anatomy & Conditions

    • Nail structure and growth

    • Common nail disorders (what to avoid treating)

    • Basic skin and cuticle health

    • Contraindications and client suitability

     Session 3: Basic Manicure Techniques

    • Nail filing and shaping

    • Cuticle care and preparation

    • Hand soaking and massage

    • Polish application basics (base, colour, top coat)

     Practical Activity

    • Manicure on training hands or partner

    • Tutor feedback 

     

    Day 2: Nail Finishing & Professionalism

     Session 4: Introduction to Nail Art

    • Tools and brushes for nail design

    • Techniques: dotting, striping, glitter, gems

    • Using gel polish for design (overview)

    • Simple designs: flowers, lines, French tips

     Session 5: Client Care & Business Basics

    • Client consultations and aftercare advice

    • Building rapport and professional etiquette

    • Record keeping and appointment booking

     Wrap-Up, Assessment & Certificates

    • Course review 

    • Award of Completion 

    • Advice on next steps (e.g., Level 2 Manicure and Pedicure course)

  • To secure your place at Blow Academy, a deposit is required. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. The full course fee must be paid no later than two weeks before the course start date. Once paid, course fees are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, a credit note will be issued, allowing you to reschedule your booking for a future date.  

    If Blow Academy cancels your course, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the option to reschedule for another available date.  

    Minimum Enrollment Requirement
    The course requires a minimum number of enrolled students to proceed.  

    Course Postponement
    If the minimum enrollment requirement is not met, the course may be postponed to a later date. Students will be notified of any schedule changes as soon as possible.
