VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 2
The VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing is a vocational qualification for learners aged 16 and over who wish to pursue a career in hairdressing. This qualification is most suitable for those learners who wish to become a junior stylist encompassing all of the technical skills required within a salon or for self-employment.

*The deposit of €1,950 (25%) secures your booking. The remaining balance of € 5,850 (75%) is due. The total course fee must be settled two weeks before the start date.

Learners must achieve all seven mandatory units, which include:
• Advise and consult with clients
• Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
• Cut ladies hair
• Style and finish hair
• Set and dress hair
• Colour and lighten hair
• Fulfil salon reception duties
This qualification offers a wider range of optional units of which one must be achieved, these include:• Perm and neutralise hair
• Hair relaxing treatments and techniques
• Cut men’s hair
• Plait and twist hair
• Temporarily attach hair to enhance a style

To be awarded the VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing learners must achieve:
• all mandatory units
• a minimum of one optional unit
• the theory examinations
• the synoptic practical examination
To be awarded this qualification, learners must successfully achieve the following assessments:

Upon successfully passing your exams, you will receive the diploma from Blow Academy Institute of Hair & Beauty, as well as the internationally recognised ITEC Award. Learners who achieve this qualification are able to work as a junior hairdresser/stylist, learners could work in a variety of different sectors, which might include:
• Commercial salons
• Independent/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings
• Cruise ships
• Television, film, theatre and media

Additionally learners may choose to develop their knowledge and skills further by undertaking a level 3 qualification.

The minimum age for enrollment is 16, and applicants must possess at least a junior certificate qualification. Blow Academy is responsible for ensuring that learners have the necessary knowledge, understanding, and skills to enroll in and successfully complete this qualification.

To secure your place at Blow Academy, a deposit is required. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. The full course fee must be paid no later than two weeks before the course start date. Once paid, course fees are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, a credit note will be issued, allowing you to reschedule your booking for a future date.
If Blow Academy cancels your course, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the option to reschedule for another available date.
