Certificate in Eyebrow Treatments & Eyelash Enhancements

• Consultation – to include using suitable consultation techniques, checking for contraindications, carrying out relevant tests and giving the client clear recommendations.

 • Eyelash and eyebrow treatments – to include selecting products, tools and equipment, adapting the treatments to suit the client’s facial characteristics and specific requirements and giving aftercare advice.

• Eyelash perming – to include selecting products, tools and equipment, completing the treatment to the satisfaction of the client and providing aftercare advice.

• Applying individual permanent lashes – to include selecting products, tools and equipment, adapting the treatment to suit the client’s facial characteristics and treatment needs and providing aftercare advice.

The learner will also develop knowledge about related health and safety, client care and communication and how to promote and sell products and services to clients which is essential to work and be successful in the industry. 

This qualification also provides: 

• The related knowledge and understanding required to perform the eyebrow and eyelash treatments listed above as well as understanding the structures you are working over, in particular, skin and hair and reasons that may affect whether a client should or should not be treated.

• Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of their wider skills in a beauty therapy setting, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problem solving.

• Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a beauty specialist in eyebrow and eyelash treatments.

To be awarded the VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Certificate in Eyebrow Treatments and Eyelash.

Enhancements, learners must achieve all mandatory units.

The minimum GLH required to achieve this qualification is 201.

The minimum TQT required to achieve this qualification is 230.

Mandatory Units:

• Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments.

• Provide eyelash perming.

• Apply individual permanent lashes.

• Follow health and safety practices in the salon.

• Client care and communication in beauty-related industries.

• Working in beauty related industries.

• Promote and sell products and services to clients.

Once you complete your exams, you will receive a certificate from Blow Academy Institute of Hair & Beauty and ITEC. These prestigious accreditations are nationally and internationally recognised, making them highly sought after in the hairdressing & beauty industry.

Once learners have achieved the VTCT (ITEC) Level 2 Certificate in Eyebrow Treatments and Eyelash Enhancements they may progress on to other VTCT (ITEC) or equivalent qualifications at level 2 or 3

All treatment evidence, performance evidence, assignments, internal assessments, and underpinning knowledge must be completed prior to the final practical examination.

The final external practical examination will be carried out by the external examiner at the end of the period of learning. The external examiner will also verify a sample of the treatment evidence, performance evidence, assignments and internal assessment.

To secure your place at Blow Academy, a deposit is required. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. The full course fee must be paid no later than two weeks before the course start date. Once paid, course fees are non-refundable. However, if you are unable to attend, a credit note will be issued, allowing you to reschedule your booking for a future date.  

If Blow Academy cancels your course, you will be offered the choice of a full refund or the option to reschedule for another available date.  

Minimum Enrollment Requirement
The course requires a minimum number of enrolled students to proceed.  

Course Postponement
If the minimum enrollment requirement is not met, the course may be postponed to a later date. Students will be notified of any schedule changes as soon as possible.

Blow Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the course due to unforeseen circumstances or factors beyond our control. In such cases, every effort will be made to accommodate students' schedules and preferences.
